Security

Protect your IT environment with security solutions tailored to your organization, users, and risks.

Safety is more than just one measure

A secure IT environment involves more than just a firewall or malware protection. Devices, users, identities, applications, data, and networks are increasingly interconnected. A vulnerability in one component can affect the rest of the environment.

At the same time, employees need to be able to work as usual—whether in the office, at home, or on the go. This requires security that is not only technically robust but also aligned with the way your organization operates.

Root3 helps organizations systematically implement and maintain security. With Apple as our core area of expertise, we examine the entire IT chain: from endpoints and identities to networks, the cloud, and data.

Security starts with a solid foundation

Our security approach is based on Zero Trust: don’t automatically trust anything and verify every access attempt. That’s why we look not only at devices, but also at the user, the device, the application, the data, and the context in which access occurs.

With this in mind, we build security from the ground up. This includes strong identity management, MFA, access rights, device security, encryption, up-to-date software, and monitoring. We use the CIS Benchmarks, among other guidelines, as a framework for our technical implementation.

Zero Trust is not a one-time configuration. Access, devices, policies, and security measures require constant attention. That’s why we make security an integral part of daily management and continue to adapt the setup as risks, technology, or your organization change.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Aren't Macs automatically secure enough? Apple builds in robust security measures. That doesn’t mean an organization doesn’t need additional measures. Phishing, compromised accounts, software vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and human error remain significant risks. That’s why we combine Apple’s built-in security with additional measures tailored to your organization.
How can Root3 help with NIS2, ISO 27001, or NEN 7510? Technical measures such as MFA, encryption, patch management, logging, access control, and monitoring can be part of the measures an organization needs to implement. Root3 assists with the technical implementation and provides clarity on these measures. Security management alone does not automatically make an organization compliant; this also requires policies, processes, responsibilities, and other organizational measures.

Does better security come at the expense of ease of use? Not necessarily. A well-designed security approach can actually make everyday tasks easier. Think of Single Sign-On, MFA, and automatic device setup. We strive to find the right balance between security and how employees actually work.
Can you manage our existing security measures? Yes. We can integrate with an existing IT and security environment and continue to manage or improve it. Where necessary, we provide advice on additional measures, configurations, or other solutions.
Is security only relevant for Apple devices? No. Apple is our core area of expertise, but security encompasses the entire IT environment. That’s why we also focus on identity, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networks, servers, the cloud, and data.
Can you help us with a security assessment? Yes. With an IT QuickScan or a targeted security assessment, we can evaluate the state of your environment and identify which improvements should be prioritized.
